Be it pork roast, or pork chops, we all drool over the exquisite taste of pork meat. When it comes to preparing the same at home, we may feel that it won’t turn out positively. No worries as the experts suggest some quick and easy recipes for the beginners. Here are two easy pork recipes that you can prepare at home using simple ingredients.
Pork Steak Ingredients
Pork chops: 4 pieces
Soy sauce: 5 tablespoons
Lime: 2 pieces
Cooking oil: ½ cup
Onions: 2 (sliced)
Water: 1 ½ cups
White sugar: ½ teaspoon (granulated)
Salt: to taste
Pepper: to taste
In a large bowl, combine the pork chops, lime juice, and soy sauce. Marinate this for at least an hour. When the meat is ready, heat oil in a pan. Pan-fry the pork chops for 3 minutes on both sides over medium heat. Once the meat is fried, remove from the pan. Also, remove the excess oil. Now, add the remaining marinade and water and let it boil. Add the pork chops again and simmer for at least 40 minutes. You can adjust the timing as per your preference of the texture. Then, add salt, pepper, and sugar. Stir the mixture well until you get a saucy taste. Add the onions and cook for another 5 minutes. Your pork steak is ready to serve.
Breakfast Pork Sausage Patties Ingredients
Ground pork: 2.2 pounds
Maple syrup: 2 tablespoons
Sea salt: 1 ½ teaspoon
Black pepper: 1 teaspoon (coarse ground)
Garlic granules: 1 teaspoon
Dried thyme: ¾ teaspoon
Dried sage: ½ teaspoon

Take a large bowl. Add all the ingredients and combine. You can use your hands to blend them perfectly. Or you can choose a stand mixer with the paddle attachment to mince the ingredients well.

There are three different ways of shaping the patties. You can choose the easiest one as per your skills. Firstly, you can roll out the mixture between two parchment papers. Then, cut the patties into oval shapes using a knife or a cookie cutter. Secondly, you can make small balls out of the dough and shape them into the patties with your palm. Thirdly, you can use an ice cream scoop to take out each portion and flatten it with your palms. You can make 10-12 patties with the ingredients mentioned above.
Method: Final Cooking
Take a large skillet. Heat oil over medium-high heat. Once the oil is ready, add the patties and fry in batches. You need to cook each side for 3-4 minutes while checking the color. If the color turns brown, your sausage patty is ready. The meat thermometer should be 160°F if the patties are nicely cooked from inside. However, if the meat is brown on the outside and undercooked from the inside, turn the flame down and let it fry for another 5-10 minutes. However, if you are cooking the frozen patties, you may need to increase the cooking time.
